Pele's visible spirit form can be a flame or cloud formation seen during an eruption. When she appears in human form she may be a wrinkled old woman or a beautiful young girl. Pele has an impetuous and lusty nature capable of sudden fury and great violence. Yet she can also be gentle and serene as her lush forests of 'ōhia. This 2012 special limited edition print is a revised version of the original 2003 Merrie Monarch poster Pele image.
